Since in Europe Paul does not really make any changes to the setlist.

I do not really get why YCCMA is back now on the regular concerts, but hey, who am I to blow against the wind.

Unfortunately the only change in Hamburg (9th of July) was that he didn´t play "Vietnam" and "Mother And Child Reunion".

No Klausi, I´m sure he didn´t play them. I had/have the whole setlist in my mind, even on Saturday. I was really disappointed, when I realized, that he skipped Vietnam/Mother And Child Reunion and continued with "That Was Your Mother".
Anyway, that evening was one of the best evenings in my life!! He was really very great.

P.S.: After the concert I talked to Tony Cedras, Bakiti Kumalo and Mark Stewart. Mark told me, that Artie´s voice is getting better and they like to do a few shows next year in the USA (we already knew that). But he also promised, Paul is going to come back again to Europe...

Sorry for my bad english...

YCCMA is the PS solo track that has been played the most on UK radio. It gets very regular airplay on BBC Radio 2, the UK´s most popular radio station, and is a firm favoutite! I´m sure it´s back on the set list because Paul knows it´s popular :-)

I was in Hamburg too and Paul did definitely NOT play Vietnam/Mother And Child Reunion. Was very nice meeting you, Jochen! :-) Not so sure about the Paul will come back to Europe thing. When I asked Bakhiti he said "probably"... Hmm... We´ll see!

He mentioned this in the Glastonbury interview after the crowd went wild when he played it as an encore. He referred to the fact that it wasn´t usually on the set list.

Since then he has played it every time. When I saw him at Birmingham NIA last month, the crowd was calling out for it after each song for the whole of the second half of the set.

We were lucky then because he also played, Questions for Angels, Vietnam and Mother & Child Reunion. 27 songs in total.

In Milan I will hold up a sign with written "cool, cool river" and "Love is the eternal sacred light", maybe he will change something.. since it´s the last day of tour in Europe. And maybe one with "Surprise us!"

Hi Jochen and Miriam, maybe I am wrong again!

I did not care for the setlist, neither in Brussels, where he sang them, nor in Hamburg. But the concert had almost exactly the same length. He began soon after 8. p.m. and played for 2 hours. Also the "Comebacks" were very short. So some songs must have been a little bit extended, possibly Kodachrome/Gone at last.

The sound was fine, much better than Brussels, the crowd even more enthusiastic. Great. Leaving for Mainz today.

Well - what I meant was: YCCMA is 25 years Old now, and for sure he must have realized in the other 800 concerts he gave during that time, that this is his most beloved song by the concert crowd. It is not just famous now in the UK and get´s played there very often. In fact, for most non-PS fans it is the only song they definately know.
So I am surprised that he finally seems to find out "oh, hey, the people like that song, I have to put it on the setlist again" - I thought it was a clever or tough decision by him NOT playing it (like other songs..Bridge, Mrs. Robinson, The Boxer, Graceland) - I am pretty sure the usual audience would also Love to hear Graceland instead of Rewrite, Mrs. Robinson instead of Peace Like A River, and The Boxer instead of So beautiful or so what... hope Paul does not find out that these songs are popular ;-)

Just came back from Mainz. Setlist same as Hamburg, means without the two Reggae-songs. Great concert, great response, great sound.

One paper review today titled "Days of miracle and wonder" because heavy rain and storm after a hot and sunny day came about 6 p.m. with the (our) sorrow the show could be cancelled.

At about 7.30 p.m. it was gone and just at the right time nice and warm wheather till the end of the concert, bad wheather again later in the night and during next days morning.
