 | I was looking for some specific info on Paul and stumbled on this site. Wrote a review for you people about the Brussels concert last night. Wgich leads to my question. Paul thanked ´the building´ yesterday, the building being the concert hall ´Vorst Nationaal´ in Brussels, Belgium. He did this because he met his wife here during a Bob Dylan show? He said he was now happily married since 20 years. Thank you building. I didn´t quite understand. His wife I found, claims she met Paul at a Edie gig on NBC. This now ponders my mind :) Would be glad to know, as both Paul and Bob are extremely special to me and ´the building´ in question, gave me the chance to see both artists ... [email protected]

 | He said this and I also ask myself whether this is possible? Maybe he met her earlier and then came next to her in (or probably later outside) this building, introducing himself as Paul from New York, but certainly not in her or his tent...
Anyway, great concert, 28 songs, he and his voice are anything else than "physically forgotten"!
The only slight dissappointment was the sound, which suffered because the building produced too much echo effect. Not Paul`s or his sound engineers problem. |

 | Actually his exact words were "my first date with Edi was in this building" so I guess they met before but had their first "formal" date in "Vorst Nationaal". |

 | Why did he play BITB for 2 times? |

 | Bodo I think that is an error.
The problem comes with what people are counting for instance...
Some setlists read
Vietnam >>> Mother And Child Reunion
Hearts And Bones >>> Mystery Train >>> Wheels
Kodachrome >>> Gone at Last
While others are
Vietnam
Mother and Child Reunion
Hearts and Bones
Mystery Train
Wheels
Kodachrome
Gone At Last
That makes it look like a difference of 4 songs! |

 | Hi Matthew
I was maybe referring to that show
http://www.paul-simon.info/PHP/showreview.php?id_c oncert=1144
With only 23 songs
While now in London he played 27 (adding Al and Questions...)
28 might have been an error, if Boy in the Bubble was for 2 times on the list(?)
All songs counted...even if I think Wheels is just a short guitar solo thing for the drummer...

 | Hi Bodo,
maybe I can give you more honesty than Tenderness. Of course he sang this boy in the bubble not twice so we got only 27 perfect songs!
There is a song called "enough is enough" but I don`t believe... |

 | I remember seeing a post card written to a friend by Edie (1978?) stating that she had met Paul and it seemed like she was interested in him. It was posted on line by the "friend". Maybe they orginally met there. |

 | The SNL performance was in late 1988. The New Bohemians openend for Bob Dylan on his european tour in 1989, if the informations on the internet are correct. So it would be interesting why Paul is attending a Bob Dylan show in Brussels? |

 | Why not? I saw him (Paul) on July 1 1989 in Wuerzburg/Germany. The Graceland shows around were not so far away from home to get some rest. |

 | Me too was in Brussels. It is true, Paul said that Edie and he were having their first date in "this building"´ at a Bob Dylan concert and that he is married now 20 years with her. "So thank you building" said with the "thank you" the same as in the song...
I´ve seen and heard Paul 12 times now, of which 4 together with G, and I can´t remember his voice being ever so good. He sang really very very well. |
