It is strange when you think about it....20 years after ROTS, SBOSW has been perceived as his comeback album...but there were three albums in between !

I was listening to YTO the other day, and saying to myself how strong most of the songs were, I was wondering why Nobody cares or remembers that album vs. the hype on SBOSW.

Of course, several factors come into play...

In my mind, SBOSW wins because some of the songs are catchier & more accessible to a larger public. But in terms of quality level, pretty much all of these 4 albums are top notch.

´Surprise´ though seems to be overrated by some here, but let´s face it, if I was not a Paul Simon fan, I would have never bothered to listen to this stuff. Actually, outside of our world, not a lot of people even notice it. It has its moments and good songs, but overall, more a labored work, less fluid than YTO.

However, in my mind, SBOSW contains clues that Paul might be drooling a little lyrically, which did not come to mind with YTO, Surprise, and SFTC.

1. Surprise
2. YTO
3. SBOSW
I´m sorry, I´m not mentioning The Capeman. There is IMHO nothing ´top´ about that album at all
