Yeah,I don´t believe it was autotune on anything from the 60´s or 70´s or later even. Musicians double-tracked their voices or used ADT which is a completely different thing. It´s similar in that it does change the tonal characteristics of the voice though. I´ve done that myself. Some artists in the 60´s,The Beatles and The Beach Boys to name two, occasionally would slow down the already recorded backing tracks to record their vocals. Thus, when the song was mixed and played back at the right pitch, the instruments sounded correct, but the vocals had a ´youthful´ or even ´unreal´ quality. Listen to John Lennon´s vocal on The Beatles song ´ Rain´ for evidence of this.

Art Garfunkel´s entire performance is autotuned on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concerts. It´s like Paul is singing with a robot :(

Matthew, are you talking about the broadcast,or the dvd release? To me his voice sounds the same as it always has on the dvd release. As I said earlier, some may just be more sensitive to what they hear,or perceive to hear. It reminds me of the ongoing debate about Digital Noise Reduction and Edge Enhancement used during the mastering of Blu-ray releases.

| Art is a perfectionist with his singing. He did the vocals on CP 81 again in the studio because he thought his singing was a distaster, it was a lot of work for Roy Halee to make the singing exactly equal with the mouth singing of Art on the Live DVD.
Art´s voice was suffering already on the R&R performance so it´s no Surprise that they altered it there also.

What if there is?..it´s just a second. I don´t see what´s the problem here. It doesn´t affect the song/ recording in any way and Paul still sings 99% flawlessly.
