I just noticed (as we wait for a setlist from 4/20, with a show from a small crowd (which makes setlist less likely to surface) that there is a "Tour Archive" section now on the Paul Simon official website...it allows you to click on shows from various decades for info about the shows...except...it is completely blank...when you click on it, there is literally nothing there. I really hope they develop that sooner than later, so they can start posting setlist for this tour...and past ones too!

oh
I wonder what source they have for the 70´s shows then.
To be complete they should also add the solo shows from the 1960´s...

Setlists are getting static -- hopefully he switches it up a bit tonight.

Tonight another show...the man has too much power.

Anyway, Jon are you surprised that the setlist does not change?

I follow that setlists now since 1999, it was always like that, only minor changes.

I sometimes wonder why they even change it a little bit. I mean, what is the reason for taking out a song at one show? Who decides that? Is Paul planing that in the afternoon? And if - does it make a lot of a difference if you change 1 or 2 songs (I means songs you played 3 nights before anyway). I do not think it has to do anything with the city or the audience, cause he also changes the setlist a little bit on the following shows in the same city.

BTW: The review mixed up all songs, saying Love and Blessings has been played (but meant Love is eternal sacred light)

All in all one of the worst review I´ve read so far, but to blame is the writer who has absolute no idea and just cried for "play Graceland, play S&G songs"

Thats not someone you want to have in your audience. You play 25 hits, and he just want ´other´ hits.

Yes which is different to me where you play 25 hits and I just want more hits! :-)

From time to time perhaps some minor changes in the setlist but i think this is it... Graceland and The Boxer are the only 2 songs i think have a chance to come back in the setlist at some show during this tour.....

I´m still surprised that from the 4 albums between Graceland and SBOSW there are only 2 songs in the set. Such a great set of albums as well.

Well, they wrote it´s his best since Graceland, so he can´t play any of those bad songs now. He has to decide between Graceland and SBOSW songs.

I really like this review. Zollo is a fan, he knows about the music and I like how he spotlights the band (though he does fail to mention Jamey Haddad and Andy Snitzer)

Why did I think he might mix up the set? Well for one, he basically said as much, that playing clubs gave him the opportunity to just pick up his guitar and play what he feels like.

Also, you would think playing in the same city he would mix up the setlist a bit. I am guessing since tonight´s venue is the same, that there will be a couple different tunes compared to last night.

Thank you so much for that lovely heartfelt review, Alyson. You wrote my thoughts exactly. How wonderful to have this man still writing songs of such quality, and how lucky we are to see him in concert again.
