 | Ok this website has now updated their setlist
http://blogs.seattleweekly.com/reverb/2011/04/paul _simon_and_8_friends_playe.php
And things seem to be connected up between it & this one...
http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/paul-simon/2011/the- showbox-seattle-wa-23d39c47.html
So we lost "Gone At Last", "The Only Living Boy In New York", "Slip Sliding Away" & "Mystery Train/Wheels".
We gained: "Vietnam"/"Mother & Child Reunion", "Getting Ready For Christmas Day", "The Boy In The Bubble", & "Still Crazy After All These Years".
So he is doing pretty close to what Paul McCartney does now, which is close to the same length show (about two dozen songs for Simon, close to 3 dozen for Macca- around a two hour show for Paul S. & just short of 3 hours for Paul M.)but...you rotate about 5 songs in or out of any given set on any given night, with a core of about 20 songs staying for Simon & 30 for McCartney.
I´m curious as to whether Paul Simon will add & subtract a more varied list as the tour goes along. McCartney tweaked the last one a bit with some songs being only done on the first few dates & then abandoned...and then others appearing in rotation later on.
There are mentions of things like "Darling Lorraine" for example as an oddity that he wanted to revisit & one imagines things like "The Boxer" might eventually pop up down the line as well. It will be exciting to find out, eh?
I´m cu |

 | Well we know he did more than 19 songs...be curious to hear Nancy weigh in on the "Mystery Train"/"Wheels" second night question? If the writer saw both shows they could be mixing the two up...but who knows? |

 | Check this from the 2nd seattle show:
Let´s just get this out of the way - Paul Simon was incredible last night. We would go so far as to say it was magical. The excitement was truly palpable.

 | Confirmation that Paul did do "Mystery Train" & presumably "Wheels" on the second night in Seattle...which means that there´s some setlists that need to be corrected, here & all over the net... |

 | @ Bodo: Based on the first hand review for the 4/17 show I added "Gone At Last" to the set list.
Because Mystery Train & Wheels are a medley I listed them as
Mystery Train/Wheels
instead of
Mystery Train
Wheels
I did the same for
Kodachrome/Gone At Last...
I didn´t do that for Vietnam and Mother & child Reunion, although he did it on Jimmy Fallon as a medley.
Just wanted to give you the update on my update. Blessings! |

 | Ok, I do not have a clue what medley means in that case, I always thought that means only parts of one song have been played, and mixed together with other parts of songs (on TV shows, to play 4 songs in 5 minutes, and make people nervous.)
The Kodachrome/Gone at last ´medley´ takes 6:30 minutes, don´t think (hope) any strophe has been cut (but some extra chords and loops at the end)
Whatever... :)
