Here´s the thing:

There is no cleaned version yet on the message-board I have the bootleg from.
As I said, I made a clean version by myself...but I did it the first time, and I guess I did too much cleaning. Well, there´s no hiss anymore, but now, the voices sound a little bit strange. Especially Art´s voice, because he has a lot of breath in his voice, which is also "cleaned". It sounds like he had a plastic bag over his head (don´t picture that). Pauls voice has not changed too much but also sound a little weird.

When I did the cleaning, the sound-program asked me how intensive the cleaning should be. I had no idea and chose 80%...maybe I should try to clean the original files (still have them) again with 60% or so. In this case, some hiss would probably remain, but the voices should also sound better.

I suggest the following:
I try to get a better result and send one track to Bodo. Then he can decide whether it´s okay to upload all files or not. Is this okay for you Bodo ?

Ok, I will send it this evening.

I used the noise reduction option of cool edit 2000.
I know that there is a Steinberg-Clean-PlugIn for cool edit, but I didn´t find it on the net.

So I used the normal noise reduction option. It works good, but maybe with a better tool there might be a better result.

Anyway, if you only heard the wilkes barre bootleg how it is on this homepage, you will be very very very happy with this one !

Anyway, I now made mp3s of the files, and I am ready to upload.
(You will like it anyway, so let´s forget about this one-track-decision)

Please give me the adress and a Login/PW of your ftp server.
(Create me an upload-only account, otherwise, people who are reading this too try to download the files earlier than you want them to)

Hi Kuno.

Please upload the files with user and pwd I gave you.
I don´t have a problem if people install ftp and download them earlier...
My real problem is that I don´t have a real access to my control center and so it´s a lot of work to set up a new ftp account.

okay, i am uploading
but i can only upload with 2 kb/s !?!

this way it will take a few days until i have uploaded all files... but if you (bodo) can´t do anything for more speed, that´s no problem....but it will take a while because i am really busy with other stuff too.

but anyway, you will be so happy about this show !

? I don´t think this is the fault of my webspace, it works very fast normaly. I can upload with 200kb/sec if I need

I´ve just read your post about your problem. I also have such problems sometimes and here are two solutions, maybe they work for you as well:

1. reboot your computer
2. close the firewall (in case you use one)

both of the things worked pretty fine with me. I always close everthing when I use a ftp program to upoad things to my site

Thanks for the tips...I have to wait until this evening to try it again...
I uploaded only one track (just the intro) so far....more will follow :o)

I forgot one thing:

in case you have a virus program running in the background, close that as well. Then the uploading speed should be okay...

The first disc is uploaded...second will follow in the next two days.....

I still cannot upload faster than with 2kb/s...but it works this way.

Ok Kuno, do you think the files will be on the server tomorrow at around 17:00 ?
