Bodo,
Do you have the mp3 files now or do you still need someone to send you the files? If you do, you will have to give me detailed instructions. I don´t know how to upload the files to your url address.

Hi Kathie.
Well, we can maybe wait for the ´cleaned´ version (if there will be one)
Kuno do you know more?

And if you want to upload the files, you have to install a FTP programm "WS-ftp light" is the best one (free) you can download it everywhere on the internet.
But let me first hear what Kuno says about the cleaned version

I just checked the messageboard again.
As you, Bodo, may know, to improve soundquality of a bootleg, especially when there is some constant hiss, you need a few seconds of just this hiss to configure the filter of the soundprogram.
I just checked the messageboard, and some users now are trying to work it out. I am sure that it will be done sometimes but I don´t know when... I guess it will take a week or so...

Ok, should we wait or upload this version now?

I for myself can wait for the better version - and maybe it´s better to wait instead of wasting bandwidth for double downloads.

wait for the better- i have the one with the hiss, and it would definitely be worth it to wait for a good verson.

I just need your email address so I can give you a list of some Paul Simon / Simon and Garfunkel live shows that I have recently gotten.
I think you might be interested in some of them.

I think we should wait until a version without the hiss is done.
For Info: on the messageboard where the show is downloadable, a user wrote that he need a few seconds just of the hiss to filter it out. A few days later another user postet it. He cutted a few pieces together of the breaks between the songs and speechs. So I am pretty sure that sooner or later we will be able to get a better quality.

The show as it is now, with the hiss, is a lot better than the wilkes barre show, but without the hiss it would be almost perfect. So I´d say we should wait....

I just read about how to remove hiss from a recorded show. It´s very simple if you have an example of the hiss.
Even if I don´t know if there might be a better result, I am very happy with the version that came out by me.
Should I upload the first mp3s, or do we want to wait until there is a cleaned version on the messageboard i have the show from ?

I would say let´s upload the first files.

I can´t wait to hear them.

Hopefully Bodo will provide his Server for it and gives you the password, or where do you want to upload them to?

I just got the show from a a friend at this forum (Thanks Sören).
Unfortunately it is the one WITH the hiss but apart from that this is a great show with a MUCH better sound than the Wilkes Barres one.. A real treat this one! It´s gonna be great when the version without the hiss reaches this site!
