In 2005 Herbie Hancock recorded a new album together with famous word stars. Every star included one of his own songs, and Herbie rearranged the song with his incredible piano playing style. Most critics wrote that this was Paul Simons best vocal performance since 2 decades. The song is a new mix of piano and percussion (Jamey Haddad from Paul´s band) with many long relaxing instrumental parts.
But still, I wish everyone to hear this track!!!! |

 | The original is such an incredible recording. The laid back drum groove, the soulful guitar and the haunting accordion/vocal solo from the Brazilian Sivuca which is laid out over a vers except each cord is doubled in length. A cool trick. Also, the lyrics are so autumny (if that is a word)it´s a crime!
I have the Herbie album and it´s ok. But nothing compared to the Grammy album from PS. |
