What are your thoughts here? Do you think he will consider BAM the US leg of the tour or will he add US dates in Aug/September?

Hello Jon, I think he will do some dates in US later in the fall-not many but maybe some concerts,
then the question is? where in Us?

Hopefully somewhere in the great lakes region. NYC is about an eight hour drive from where I live, and I would make that drive if he were doing entire shows there, but it´s not worth the money/drive/day off to see him sing just a couple songs, as good as the BAM show may be.

So, hopefully he will come to Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, somewhere therein.

Why would he do US dates later ?

The territory has been covered in his 2006 tour.

Under African Skies - BAM show would have been worth the drive for you, he was onstage almost the entire time and sang like 8 songs, maybe more. Capeman was also INCREDIBLY special to be at.
I will vote that he will add dates. There´s no way that the BAM shows could be considered any kind of US leg of a tour.

Why is it always Europe? There are
fans here in the mid west who are
re discovering him and can´t get to
Brooklyn.

He toured extensively in the US in 2006. he only played in Ireland and Britain that year, and we´re just little Islands of the north west coast of Europe. Last year he didn´t tour anywhere probably due to his mother being ill

he probably just wanted to take a break ----- and i don´t mean to offend anyone here, but he´s an american institution --- he´s damn well entitled to tour europe, but he should be comming to America....

i mean SATwise

the beatles :: UK as

simon and garfunkel :: united states

and I´m confident he will tour the United States, and (this will really piss this forum off) from what I´ve heard, he and Artie aren´t done touring, either

AS scaaty said - he did not tour Europe in 2006 - he only gave 5-6 shows in the UK and Ireland, after touring 3 1/2 months trough the USA

So it would be really unfair if he is touring the USA now Jett Rink.

In Europe he is most of the time playing really great places, he is playing at castles, at Old markets in small towns - and with NON SEATED audiences. I guess he likes that more than playing just big stadions. :) I visited 2 shows in the USA and never liked the atmosphere there (a exception may be the NO Jazz Festival...)

Bodo-nice to hear he is playing to smaller audiences now. Is it also free since it is non-seated? I have read in the biographies that Paul is concerned about the sound system and does not like arenas. Nor do I!!

I suppose the idea was to tour Europe in 2007 - there were lots of rumours (Montreux etc.) but Paul´s mother died so maybe he postponed.

I can´t imagine Paul will play the US this year since this is the wrapping up of the Surprise tour.

Also some American fans had the chance to go to New York for the BAM concerts.

What next? Who knows?

I suppose some will hope for a tour with Artie. I, personally, hope for a new album.

Definitely a new album from Paul (and it would nice for Art if he left the ´60s behind and made a new album of completely new material and strike out on his own:))
