now what?

I have an FTP server by the way, would it be easier for me to put the files there and have you download them?

The file you apparently downloaded is not the real file. The real file is about 675 MB. It´s in .SHN format, which is about 1/2 the size of .WAV and only needs a simple plugin to play in winamp (I don´t know about other music playing programs.) Alternatively, you could wait a couple days till I get the mp3´s to Bodo.

To download the 675 MB file, go here, and download the Bittorrent software:

Install it.
Go through the options menu, and specify a downloads directory.
Then, click on the .torrent file online, in the forum Kuno posted:

d.php?s=&threadid=19197

Many hours later (it really varies, it depends on how many people are online with the file) you will have a folder of .SHN files, which are the music tracks! :)

If others could download the files simply from your ftp server it would be the easiest way. I could link to these files on your server (anonyme login should be possible?)

Do you have enough space on your ftp server, bandwidth, and is it also fast enough?

or you upload them here with the ws-ftp programm, and I´ll link to the files then.

Start the WS-FTP, and connect to this server

Host: 66.246.98.87
user: guest
pwd: guest1

then upload the files there.


If I have to download them from your server then we have to copy the files for 3 times (you onto your ftp, I download them, and then I upload them onto my server)

I first used "MKW" to convert them to wav´s, and then "cdex" to convert them to mp3´s. If I can ever figure out how to use Bodo´s ftp thing, they should be up soon..

I can´t seem to get on... when I put in the password, it says

"530 Authentication failed, sorry
! Logon failure, so quitting"

I can get on if i leave it as anonymous... but then I can´t upload anything.

Finally I was able to log in to someone´s ftp!!!! Thank you so much for doing this Michael!!!

The files should be uploading right now... I have to run to physics class, but I´ll check to see if they went through when I get back. :)
