 | an automatically generated Re: for you here in the forum? ;-)
Well... I thought of that, but then these threads look stupic because you have to read everything to know what they are talking about.
If someone wants a fast overview he can simply read the headlines...and I thought that´s good Idea.
If I include the Re: then evry message would start with.

 | I find it very easy to miss new messages here as they tend to get buried and don´t easily show up. Is there any way of getting round this problem ? |

 | I think 1 day is enough...
But in a big thread where a lot of people write on the same day it would be the same problem (all messages are red then *g*)
Ok, I have an idea.
Messages older than 1 day are yellow
Messages from yesterday are orange
and from today red
... I´ll try that today.

 | I think the idea of making all the recent messages red is a better one because sometimes you get threads within threads and if only the most recent one is marked it would still be easy to miss something |

 | Sorry but sometimes I have a lack of inspiration and so, the "re" is easier and faster ! :-)

 | It becomes quite complicated here now : maybe too many people posting too many messages ! LOL ! Soon, it will look like on AMPS where it´s hard to find the message you haven´t read yet! Can´t you use the sign "new" near the messages left to read ? It was working like that on the first version of NLS and it was very efficient !

 | It´s no problem to make a new sign right to every message, but when we post 20 messages within an hour every message will have this sign.
What I can´t do at the moment is to personalize who has read which message. Because then you have to Log in (like in the quiz game, or at NALS?)
The program simply doesn´t know if Julie has already read the message, or if Nathalie, because it doesn´t know who is reading.
That´s also the problem when I make the new messages red...then all 4 messages we have written now would be red. Also not good or? |

 | I could take the first 25 letters as an headline.
So no one has to write a headline...and it will always be about the text... |

 | Yes, in NALS, we had to log in to post and to see the signs "new" but it was not a problem at all and I think it would definitely be the easiest solution !

 | Well, it doesn´t seem so clear to me :-)Could you please explain (about the 25 ways ! ;-) ) ?

 | I´ll explain it to you Nathalie.
(ok that was an example for it)
I will take the first 25 Chars of the text and take it as the headline.
So no one has to write an headline and think too much ;-)

 | ...you don´t want us to have to log in ? We could read the news freely, see the pics and so on but you can ask for a password for the forum : I´m sure Nobody would be hurt of that (and maybe you should do the same for the chat because all those guests appearing and you don´t know who they are , it´s a bit confusing too :-))
