I found a mp3 called ´the breakup´. Art is trying to say something about their breakup, but is interrupted by Paul several times.
Does anyone know what it is? It was not meant as a serious recording, and I´m not even sure if this is really them. Paul´s voice seems real. Art, I don´t know.

Thanks. It´s amazing that this is on a ´greatest hits´ and what else is on these collections which is not a regular album.

Thomas, when you´re listening to the record it is quite clear they made it as a reaction to all the inquiries into why they broke up. It´s all in jest, a good laugh, they obviously had a great time recording it.

"The Break-up" is also on Garfunkel´s "Up ´til now" album.

I heard that Garfunkel´s Up Til´ Now was released under the condition that he included a couple of Simon & Garfunkel tracks. Thus it features Sound Of Silence and The Breakup

I just recently bought this boxed set as well as the companion guitar song book it comes with. It is really a great set. I like the fact that it comes with a companion booklet that includes Paul´s comments on some of the songs he has written.( I also Love the pic´s that it comes with!)
I think my favorite part of this set though, is the demo recording of Paul singing Bridge Over Troubled Water. After hearing that, I think he should have done the original!!! Artie was right!!!
