 | does anyone know of anything you could download that makes it so you can seperate and listen to individual parts of a single song i.e. guitar on one track, vocals on another, percussion on another etc.
thanks in advance |

 | Hum, except if you have original from original version of a song, I think you can´t...
I´m almost sure that you can´t with stereo and mono songs : the sound is "flattened" on one (mono) or two (stereo) "bands"... |

 | There is a CD available from those who have it that has Paul Simon´s guitar only, totally seperated from the rest of the track. It is great how it has been done. I have no idea of what software was used to do this. This does show, however, that it CAN be done. You need to keep searching for the software. |

 | I´ve heard anything about this CD.
Is it only the guitar without any other instruments, drums, bass?
I believe that this CD was recorded by another person - and he only played the guitar.
To erase out the voice of a track makes it sound really flat - and even then you can still hear some strange noise - they simply delete all frequencies between let´s say 800 and 2400 Hz - the frequencies of our voice. |

 | Yes, Bobo, I know what you mean. On one of these tracks Simon´s spoken intro to America from Live Rhymin´ is heard...then only the guitar is left, so they seem to be actual PS songs, him playing, but all other instrumentation is erased. It is amazing to hear how intricate each song really is with just the guitar. |
