Well personally I don´t think there is anything wrong with being nice and being polite sometimes IMO. There is anough nastiness in the world. It´s one of the things I´m not keen on about AMPS. Some of the people can be so unpleasent in there.

There´s nothing wrong with heated discussions, but when people become curse and unpleasent for no good reason, that´s when I think there´s a problem.

Here, we have heated discussions sometimes, bt for the most part we´re all good towards each other.

Yep I guess the AG site can be a bit girly at times, but there´s nothing wrong with that IMO. It´s healthy and no one is getting hurt.

Well I must dash, I have a site meeting elsewhere.

Catch you all later.

Hugs

Well everyone has their own preference...personally I prefer the people on amps (even the grumpy ones). :-)

It´s a newsgroup, but I think you need to be with aol to get into it. I could be wrong.....

No I don´t think I am, I just checked out the addy for it and aol is at the begining.

aol://5863:119/alt.music.paul-simon

It´s very basic, there´s no images etc, it´s just like a forum and nothing more.

I just left the AG forum. I can see why people poke fun at it, it has a very young "population, if you will, but the people there can be very nice and sweet, and just like the joke around and have fun.

As for Julie and the 14-year-Old comment, I see her point at the conversations turning immature at times. I´m almost 16, but I´m still a "young" fan. I wasn´t offended by the remark, Julie can be very nice.

And Micky, you´re so sweet! Thanks for keeping the peace!

When I posted my original comment about 14 year Old girls I did add a smiley. I was poking fun but it was only meant as a gentle poke. I actually quite like 14 year old girls...I once was one myself (and don´t anyone dare say "a long time ago")....I also have a 14 year old daughter.

It is rather strange how different the 2 forums (the AG one and amps )are. They both seem to have their own unique character. As I said previously personally I prefer the amps forum, perhaps because it is inhabited by such different personalities with different points of view.

Bill is the problem :-)
He will make a small mouse of you when you reach AMPS.

BTW. Is it only me or do others also have the feeling this question comes up too often now?

I think someone else asked it . . . but it wasn´t me. I´m curious because everyone talks about the website, and yet I never have gotten to see it. It´s driving me crazy! Can´t you reveal anymore info on how to enter, Bodo, or is it a secret? ;-)
