 | Does anybody know which album that song is on? I saw it on the 1967 Live album but not on any of the studio discs... Or am I just blind? |

 | So it´s an unreleased S&G track that didn´t make it on a studio album. Thanks for your answer...
Does anybody now the difference between the "Live from NY City 1967" album and the "Live NY City 1967 Limited Digipack Edition"? The LD Edition has a much shorter delivery time. Does it sound differently? |

 | Isn´t the difference that the Digipack Edition has not a jewel case but a carton case, just like the cd´s in the Paul Simon Box? |

 | By the way: I don´t think you can call it un unreleased S&G track - it´s obviously a released Simon track.

 | I thought about buying the 1967 live CD because it´s just them and a guitar, not a whole orchestra like on their recent tour. When I read the tracklist I was wondering where "A Church Is Burning" came from.
It seems they played it live at some concerts but never recorded it in a studio together. Still it´s an S&G song and not a PS solo song (even though he probably wrote it).
Thanks for your answers. As long as "Digipack" doesn´t mean a digitally changed sound... That´s what I thought. |

 | It´s a PS song. Not because he wrote it but because he wrote it AND the only studio album it was recorded on was a PS solo album! American Tune is not suddenly an S&G just because they played it a lot of times, agree...? |

 | Not really, because "American Tune" was played by PS first. "A curch is burning" was sang by S&G first and thus it´s an S&G tune. That´s my opinion... |

 | You are of course entitled to your own opinion, but it seems you haven´t really understood all the facts here:
"A Church Is Burning" is a PS tune that was first recorded by PS on "The Paul Simon Songbook" from 1965! Later S&G played it in concerts (Live in New York, ´67, indeed), but IMO that doesn´t make it S&G, and that´s why I made "American Tune" analogy, and why I think it´s fair to consider it a PS song. |

 | Oooops... Didn´t know that the PS songbook is from 1965. Then, you´re right of course! |
